WaveSeek is a product-research tool for founders. It continuously reads public conversations across Hacker News, App Store, Google Play, Apple Podcasts and Steam reviews, Trustpilot, Stack Exchange, Discourse forums, GitHub and GitLab issues, Lemmy, Mastodon, Twitch, GDELT news, Firefox Add-ons, WordPress plugin reviews, Lobsters, dev.to, Medium, YouTube channel feeds and RSS, then turns them into demand trends, recurring complaints and concrete product openings.

What it answers

• What should I build? Opportunity scoring across 53 topic channels: every scored opening is built from a real, clustered complaint, and openings we only suggest are labelled and left unscored.
• What changed this week? Week-over-week demand movement, with alerts when a niche you track actually moves.
• Who else is there? Competitor ratings, review counts and the specific things their users complain about.

How it works

The pipeline runs every six hours, ingesting posts and reviews from 22 public sources, classifying which are genuine complaints, clustering them into recurring pain points, and rolling them up into per-channel demand and sentiment. Numbers are estimates synthesized from public signals, not guarantees.

Read the evidence without signing up

Every channel with enough measured evidence has a public report at waveseek.dev/channels: how many posts were read, how many were classified as genuine complaints, what those complaints were, and a link to the original post behind every quote. No sign-up, no market sizes, no projections — only counts, each stamped with the date it was measured. Examples: Gaming, AI, Smart Home, Dev Tools.

A complete report, published unedited

The paid output is public too. On August 6, 2026 WaveSeek generated one Opportunity Report for the Gaming channel, on the complaint “Pay-to-win game balance”, and it is published exactly as it came out at waveseek.dev/sample-report: eight clustered complaints each linking to the post it was read from, six competitors measured from their own store reviews, and the narrative written from those facts and nothing else. It is one report for one channel on one date — a frozen record of that day, not a page that updates.
